It's a family favorite that appears in all of my kids' cookbooks when they go out and get married. It's a beautiful dish that's so colorful and so full of flavour, be warned, it's addictive.

* Ingredients

°6 slices of shredded bacon
°1 large onion cut into cubes
°2 cloves minced garlic
°1 large head of cabbage, seeded and sliced
°1 tablespoon salt, or to taste
°1 teaspoon ground black pepper
°1/2 teaspoon onion powder
°1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
°1/8 teaspoon paprika

* Preparation

Place the bacon in a large saucepan and cook over medium-high heat until softened, about 10 minutes.
add onions and garlic; Cook and stir until onions are caramelized; About 10 minutes.
Immediately add cabbage and cook, stirring, for another 10 minutes.
Seasoning with salt /pepper / onion-powder / garlic-powder / &  paprika.
Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for an additional 30 minutes.
